A hyperbaric chamber is only as safe as the team operating it. Since 1988, Tech Plus has designed chambers in Bandol, France, for hospitals, armed forces, tunnelling projects and commercial diving, and has supported its customers through to commissioning. Our hyperbaric chamber operator training extends that commitment: it is delivered on your site, on the equipment your staff will use every day, not on a mock-up.
The aim is practical. Every team member should understand what each valve, gauge and gas circuit does, run normal and emergency procedures without hesitation, and know which checks to carry out before and after each use. Our technical consultants are familiar with every detail of these installations, because Tech Plus designs, installs and maintains them.
One important point: Tech Plus is not a registered training provider and does not issue any regulatory qualification. Our role is that of the manufacturer teaching your staff to master its own equipment, alongside any mandatory courses they must take with certified providers.
On your own installation

Hyperbaric chamber operator training: the programme
Each programme is built around your installation and your procedures, whether it is a hospital hyperbaric chamber, a military chamber or a tunnel boring machine lock. It combines explanations at the control panel, hands-on runs with the chamber unoccupied, then scenario-based drills led by our technical consultants.
For containerised rental units, the training also covers handling of the B50 cylinders, 10 m³ at 200 bar (air, oxygen, heliox or nitrox), and reading of the external oxygen analyser.

Hyperbaric technician, nurse, supervisor: training by role
Not everyone needs the same depth of detail. Chamber operators learn to master the control panel. Hyperbaric technician training focuses on routine upkeep and spotting faults early, while hyperbaric nurse training covers the patient-side equipment: breathing masks, communications and the medical lock. The hyperbaric operations supervisor learns to coordinate the whole team.
The hyperbaric physician remains solely responsible for prescribing and medically supervising sessions: we train people to operate the equipment, not to practise medicine. In diving, supervisors and divers learn to use the decompression chamber as part of their operations.

Beyond commissioning, Tech Plus supports chamber owners over time: refresher training after a change to the installation, onboarding of new staff, review of internal procedures or advice on how to organise a hyperbaric team.
Regulatory qualifications, such as the French certificat d'aptitude à l'hyperbarie (CAH) required for certain hyperbaric work, are issued by certified bodies, and we can point you towards them. The two are complementary: the regulatory qualification validates general skills, while manufacturer training gives your team full mastery of its own chamber.
